Mar 2004 - Our incredibly talented client, Ledisi, is continuing her rise towards world renowned appreciation and awareness. This August, Ledisi and Sun Manning will be touring and performing with R&B legend Chaka Khan. Ledisi will also be featured with Boney James on an upcoming Luther Vandross tribute being released by Verve Records. Take Note has worked with Ledisi and Sun Manning for over 3 years, working to expand their distribution and exposure through television, film and other ancillary music markets.

Feb 2004 - Chick Korea won the 2004 Grammy Award for "Best Instrumental Jazz Solo" for the composition "Matrix" recorded at the Blue Note in New York for Chick's 60th Birthday. This recording is one of the highlights from a once in a lifetime musical gathering of musicians with whom Chick performed at the Blue Note for his 60th Birthday celebration. Take Note is currently clearing tracks for Ideal Entertainment for the DVD release of these performances titled, "Rendezvous in New York". Highlights of the recordings are also available on a two disc CD set from Concord Records.

Jan 2004 - Take Note has penned a deal with Bose on behalf of Jimmy & Jeannie Cheatham and Edson Publishing Company for the track "Steppin' Out Tonight". The track will appear on their custom compilation CD - going out to the thousands of customers who buy Bose Wave products. Many other Bose display and kiosk projects are currently using other Cheatham compositions. We are very proud to have helped the Cheathams and our other clients increase their revenue streams through custom CD compilations!
